Oxfam are very clear that they see that there are potentially solutions to the world food crisis. Dealing with the effects of climate change is one of these measures. As is acting to stop the so-called ‘land grabs’ which are disrupting food production. Action on food price inflation due to bio-fuels is also seen as being important – this is one area is which government policies are having some seriously perverse consequences.
